Donations

We love to receive donations of gently-loved books, magazines, and movies.   El Reno and the surrounding communities do a fantastic job of supporting the library through donations of great materials!

A few tips to make donations go smoothly:

1.  If you are hoping to donate more than 1 box or bag full of books, please call ahead to the library to ensure that we have enough storage space.   Often we can accept all of a large donation, just not all of it at once!

2.  Please donate books during normal library hours.  Books that are left on the front porch or at the back door run the risk of getting wet or damaged (or stolen!)

3.  Review our donation policy.  You can read it in it’s entirety here.  In short, if we can use the item in our collection, we will.  If we already have a copy or don’t need a copy, we’ll donate the book to the Friends of the El Reno Carnegie Library and they’ll sell it on their book sale cart.  Proceeds from the sale of donated items benefit the library.

4.  We can provide a receipt for tax purposes upon request.
