Free Beginner Computer Classes – Updated

*The library’s computer classes are almost completely filled!  Please watch for a new set of classes in late summer*

The library will offer FREE adult beginner computer classes this March and April.  (Click HERE for a PDF flyer with all class dates and information.)

Registration is REQUIRED!  Please call 405-262-2409 or visit the library to register. Please feel free to contact Kate with questions.

Classes are offered during the daytime or evenings.  Students are encouraged to register for one class or for all four.  Classes are designed to stand alone or be taken in sequence.

Computer Basics: An opportunity to become familiar with a computer.  Students will learn about basic components, navigating in Windows, and operating a keyboard and mouse.

Internet Basics: Learn about Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, navigating websites, and searching on the Internet.  Experience with Windows and mouse is required.

Email Basics: Designed to introduce students to email and its uses.  Students will have the opportunity to set up their own free email account.  Experience with Windows and mouse is required.

Word I: An introduction to word processing using Word 2007.  The class will use Word to practice editing documents and to create simple letters or resumes.  Experience with Windows and mouse is required.

Saturday, March 20 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
Tuesday, April 20 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
Saturday, April 24 from 1 to 2 p.m.

“Word I”
Monday, March 22 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 27 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
Tuesday, April 27 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
