Library Offers Back-to-school Special
Summer is drawing to a close and it’s time to return required reading titles and paperback beach reads to the library. To encourage people to return overdue books, the library is offering two weeks of “Fine Forgiveness.” Overdue books returned August 15-26 will have any late fees forgiven.
“In spite of the heat, our circulation has been high this summer,” said Penny Beals, Children’s Librarian. “Returning library books checked out over the summer is an important part of resuming a school-year routine.”
Library users of all ages are encourage to take advantage of the fine forgiveness.

Archive Access
The Edna May Armold Archive collection boasts over 10,000 photographs, records, newspapers, and other items related to Canadian County history. This collection is used by local historians, genealogical researchers, students, and community members. It is also a popular destination for researchers from out of state (and even from around the world!)
The archives were created to preserve these materials for future generations. With that goal in mind, we have changed the access policy to the archives slightly.
The collection is open to the public. However, due to staffing concerns, the archives are only available during certain hours of the day. Please consider calling or emailing to make an appointment if you plan to visit the archives. During lunch hours and evening hours access to the archives will be restricted.
Please feel free to contact the library with questions or comments.
